Born in Madrid, JORGE has loved sailing since he was a child. Now based in Menorca he has sailed over 6000 miles in the West Mediterranean as a Captain on a classic motor yacht and a Viking 52 sport boat, before moving to an Oyster 66, Goodwinds, where he held the position of Captain from 2010 - 2015.

Over this period he sailed extensively in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and British waters. Whilst skippering this vessel he was single-handedly responsible for the maintenance, navigation, supply of provisions and general running of the yacht.

Jorge has worked with the Driver family since 2010 and has been involved in every stage of the research and selection process of finding their new yacht – Rapture.

After a year of searching they finally found a vessel, which they consider to be the perfect yacht for chartering, fulfilling all of their stringent requirements in terms of quality, elegance and comfort.

Jorge prides himself on his professionalism and ensuring high standards aboard his vessel. The safety and comfort of his guests on board is of paramount importance to him at all times.

On a personal note, Jorge is a father of 3 children based in Menorca. His interests include windsurfing, diving and fine cooking.

QUALIFICATIONS: STCW Master 1600grt Certificate. Marketing Degree, Madrid University.

Originally from Catalonia, MARCEL embarked at the age of two on a family sailing trip around the world and did not return home, to Barcelona, until he was 16 years old where he completed his education. His entire childhood was spent at sea exploring every culture and way of life in the different continents he visited with his parents.

Since 2010 he has skippered a Swan 60’, for 3 years, sailing extensively around the Mediterranean and Caribbean and then an 80’ catamaran based in the Caribbean where he worked until 2015 before joining the crew of Rapture.

Marcel knows the sea like nobody else, salt-water courses through his veins. He enjoys free diving, wind surfing and outdoors sports. He studied with Jorge and is a good friend. He has raced with the Driver family so was delighted to be offered the opportunity to sail on Rapture.

QUALIFICATIONS: STCW Master 500grt Certificate. Professional diver

Born in Valencia, DANIEL now lives in Las Palmas where he moved to at the age of eleven. Discovering his love of cooking at an early age, he has travelled extensively in Europe; spending 6 years in the Netherlands where he was promoted to Head Chef in the exclusive seafood restaurant, “Kok-Luxe”.

During this time discovered a love of sailing and bought a small wooden classic yacht, which he still owns and uses in his free time.

In 2009 he completed his professional education with a two-year cooking degree in Las Palmas. He was awarded the “Young Promise Cook Award” by the Canary Islands Tourism Agency.

In 2011 he collaborated for a month with the Michelin Star Chef Koldo Miranda, working in his restaurant in Asturias, before being signed as Head Chef at “Son Bleda Hotel” in Soller, Majorca.

Working in a luxury hotel, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, his love of sailing beckoned and in March of 2012 he joined as Head Chef on board the 53m Vitters sailing super yacht “Nirvana” cooking for 10 guess and 9 crewmembers for a year, as they sailed extensively in the Mediterranean.

After a season on “Kokoro”, a 88’ San Lorenzo Motor yacht he was delighted to join the crew of Rapture with excellent references.

Daniel has an eye for detail. He loves cooking modern, light, Mediterranean dishes using the best local ingredients, especially fish and vegetables. Let him know what you like and he will make it for you.

Born in Barcelona, Noelia's family moved to Menorca at the age of three, where she grew up surrounded by the nature and the sea, which with the influence of her family, became her passion.

Noelia is fluent in English and has worked in Tourism in Menorca and the Catalan Pyrenees for many years, from 2002 until 2010 she managed a small hotel in Fornells Menorca. She enjoys sailing, diving, kayaking and windsurfing.

Since 2010 she has worked as a crew member on several large sailing yachts as a cook, stewardess and deckhand. Mainly sailing in the Mediterranean from Gibraltar to Turkey. She joined the crew of Rapture in 2016 as a Stewardess to explore the Pacific and Caribbean.

Marcos was born in Bilboa into a family of fisherman. He learnt to sail an very young age and still looks after his grandfathers 60 year old fishing boat.

He studied in Cadiz and raced for his university sailing team, he also volunteered with the Joves Navegents teaching disabled adults and children to sail.

After finishing his studies Marcos crewed a 54 metre Ketch from through the Pacific from New Zealand to Ibiza. He has been working on super yachts since 2008 and is a skilled and enthusiastic sailor. He loves all water sports especially surfing, paddle boarding and wake boarding and is a great water sports instructor.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master 500 Ton certificate. Maritime engineer.
